a poem about getting left behind
You left me.
My heart shrank.
A fist in my chest
Gripping on tighter,
Aching.

You found her.
My heart shrank.
A stone in my chest
Constricting even more,
Throbbing.

You fell in love with her.
My heart shrank.
A nail in my chest
Stabbing even harder,
Bleeding.

You left me.
My heart shrank.
A hole in my chest
erasing all memories,
but never really forgetting.
