A word search regarding New Year's resolutions |
We've all made New Year's resolutions. Most of us don't keep them longer than a week. Why? There are various reasons, the most prominent one being that we set our resolutions unrealistically. This word search is about realistic resolutions. Have fun and be real. Be true to yourself! So let's talk about it for a minute. How does one set a resolution that they can meet? First of all the resolution has to be realistic.. If we set goals that are not realistic they are not obtainable.. In order to be true to ourselves we should not set ourselves up for failure. When our resolutions are workable we can meet them. We are all sincere when we set our resolutions each year, but setting goals that go against our own character is not realistic. To be a qualified resolution it should be one that we want to actually do. It should be measurable to assure success. It should also be fun.. My personal resolutions usually have to do with my writing career. Through them I find serenity and peace of mind. I don't beat myself up with guilt. Some emotions in carrying them out are required but I prefer pleasure and healthy emotions. The conquest of my objectives means setting and meeting milestones. Obstacles and roadblocks occur but I need not make them myself. I prefer to turn obstacles into stairways and roadblocks into pathways. |
