Begin each day afresh, with new hope and faith.
LIVE EACH DAY: a sonnet

Live each day happily as it unfolds.
Why carry yesterday’s burden with you?
You don’t know what tomorrow for you holds.
Why should about the past you always rue?

Live each season as it presents each year,
No winter is for all time here to stay.
Why should a bad today give you much fear?
Why should at all your tomorrow it sway?

“Lord, give me this day my bread”, Jesus prayed,
But for the next day nothing did he ask.
On the present emphasis he had laid.
The one in hand is the important task.

So my friend, live each season as it comes.
Enjoy the tune of life that each day hums.
