Doubts in the mind of a soldier in Iraq.
FAR FROM HOME

Far from home, in the desert,
I lead a burning life,
Away from my countrymen
Son, daughter and my wife.

I don’t know why I am here
But the WMD,
Stacked by Saddam, are the cause,
At least thus told are we.

These WMD threatened
The USA so much,
We were told to kill Saddam.
An act of valour such!

There were no WMD.
Now there is no Saddam.
Still in this Iraq desert,
I don’t know why I am.
