A women is losing her husband and tells him if he walks, there is no coming back.
I was innocent and naive.
A kitten still on mother's milk.
You were dark, mysterious and deep.
Tried to read me, perchance to keep.

A hard driving rain,
put out a growing spark.
Promises you made,
now drowned and torn apart.

I was once a lost babe
afraid to be in deep woods,
fragile as porcelain lace.
I slowly gained strength.

I don't think you thought of me.
What about you? I will move on.
You won't sleep without my embrace.
life will be a thorny rose path.

Remember my honeyed kisses
My lap was your security blanket.
I am the one you needed,
when times were happy or rough.

I do not think you recalled
the cold world out there.
Warm kisses, loving arms are rare.
Revolving doors are rough.

I will heal with time,
wonder if you will.
As you walk away,
I vow to replenish my soul.
