Aging shouldn't make you invisible to society.
When you look at me
you see an old man's face.
But there's so much more
time can't erase.

Wrinkles don't replace
my ability to dream.
I've learned life's lessons well,
or so it seems.

My hair isn't as full
as it has been,
but I still have faith;
still love. . . still sin.

Allow yourself to see
past tired eyes;
not all old men are fools,
some are even wise.

Silence your sight, take a breath,
listen to my voice.
Aging is the way of creation,
it isn't a choice.

Take my hand for a minute;
let me share.
Remind me 'fore my time is through,
that someone cares.
