Gotta close the deal, to get the meal (Amazing 55 contest entry)
My Yard, My Rules


The cat, eyes fixed on the meal fifteen short feet away, inched her left paw forward.  Instantly, the mobile morsel sprang to the tree, scampered to the fork, then whirled.  Squirrelly invective poured forth.

Unimpressed, the hungry cat wandered off in search of slower prey.

Chattering triumphantly, the squirrel resumed its meal of fresh fruit.
