A poem about dealing with grief, with hope of seeing loved ones again.
Bronze image of an angel at Our Lady Of The Angels Monastery in Hanceville Alabama, USA.

GRIEF’S SONG!

Sing ye heavenly Angels sing, of our GOD above.
I am so lost, having lost someone whom I loved so much.
Fill my hurting heart, with sweet promises of bliss.
Help me not to lose hope in the promises of JESUS.
In whom all things are restored and made new again.
Through whom we have the hope of seeing, those whom
We knew, who we believe, are now and forevermore, with HIM.
So, sing ye heavenly Angels sing, of our GOD above.

Cleanse my heart, ye heavenly Angels.
And cleanse my soul, my mind, my life,
Of things competing, things unpleasing, to our GOD.
Guide me in these hard days
So I will not to be overcome - by grief.
Hopeless grief, that foul and often fatal enemy.
Remind me how grief, like death, is but a transitory, fleeting
Thing, which must give way, to a better and much brighter day.

Yes, sing ye heavenly Angels, sing.
Sing sweet songs that give strength to me.
So sweet, they renew everything, restoring all I once believed.
Reminding me in this moment, that this present pain,
Is as it must be, while we here see but dimly, in this life’s mirror.
Sing also of how we will someday be, reunited
Again with those we love.
Who now walk on streets of gold - with GOD.
