How did the Newbies Academy Group get started?

There used to be a newbie group called "Let's help each other grow" or LHEOG, but the host left the site, so in September 2012 ~ Santa Sisco ~ started the Newbies Academy Group to fill the void. Sisco decided that it would be for Newbies mainly and to make different forums for everything. With the help of some key members, forums were developed with graphics and images. According to ~ Aqua ~, "It was fascinating in the beginning and also nerve-racking as to whether we would receive the response we hoped for." Champions were sought to run the forums who were committed and had specific expertise. Winnie Kay, who was teaching "The Comma Sense" class for the New Horizon Academy, took charge of the Writing Forum and continues to help members with writing issues. Cinn and Angels in my Ear were in charge of providing mentoring assistance to our Newbies.
