Something in the early morning air that would change the town forever.
Nightwind
Criss Dane

With the whisper of a child
And the hunger of obsess
An unseen fury smiled
As the nightwind brought us madness

I felt the hunger of obsess
Within that morbid chill
As the nightwind brought its madness
Rolling down this darkened hill

For within the morbid chill
Flew a wanton hidden shadow
Rolling down this darkened hill
Into my sleeping town below

The wanton hidden shadow
Paused as if to meet my eyes
Then to my sleeping town below
It flew unseen to claim its prize

I felt it pause to meet my eyes
Then speed away in silent force
It flew unseen to claim its prize
And run its wretched course

It sped away in silent force
Alone I watched from distant height
As it ran its wretched course
Descending from the night

Alone I watched from distant height
While morning frost ran through my skin
And so descending from the night
I saw the end begin

While morning frost ran through my skin
And the unseen fury smiled
I saw the end begin
With the whisper of a child
