Writing a novel and not going to quit.
REWRITE

I have made the decision, 9/27/2011 on Bella's birthday, to write a novel. My personal challenge I want to under-take and not quit until the project is completed. Shortly after joining WDC my writing home I realize I can do this, Thinking about working on a huge project for many months.

So that I can put together something which is worthy of being called a novel I need to decide many things and then break them into steps and bits and pieces. It is an honor to be able to participate in novel writing so, I do not enter into this activity lightly. Devoting much time to thinking about the things I want to be included in my novel, how I want to present the plot or story, and all the other items which will help make this work come to life in an interesting and intriguing manner.

Fortunately, my creative imagination is flowing. This evening I started writing down guidelines. listing possible characters I might use, places: like houses, buildings for this, and that, and allowing my imagination to run free for anything that is a possibility. Word reminders so I can grow into something exciting for the novel. I understand we are allowed to create an outline to work from for this challenge in November.
I probably won't make a detailed outline, but may assemble something that hints to my ideas that I can incorporate into my novel writing.

Is the word count function the same or similar to what we have here? I wonder if the counter NaNo is using is the same or similar to other wood counters? And, along with this, does anyone know anything about the software that would help with the writing of any type for any purpose? The windows notepad is ok, but, it would help me if I could have virtual index cards or something like that, a place to keep notes, character info, etc. If anyone knows anything about the software writers are using, would you please let me know where and what is reliable, functional, and flexible?

If anyone has any suggestions, hints, tricks, advice, tools, software recommendations, or something to say which would be helpful; please write up and let me know what's on your mind, thank you.

My novel writing was successful years ago. I was able to go beyond the distance and although I have not edited this work, I am currently editing much of my materials on WDC. Nanowrimo was well worth entering and I hope to enter again at a future time.
