4 quatrains, 8 syl. per line Some advice to my 3 teenagers in '95. Modern day Polonius?
Take the time to smell the roses.
Take the time to count all the stars.
Take time to give a kiss or hug.
Take time to talk about the scars.

Stay away from fast cars and bars.
Stay away from cigarette sticks.
Stay away from cheats and liars.
Stay away from lightly dressed chicks.

Take time to try and get along.
Take time to listen so you'll learn.
Take some time to sit by yourself.
Take your time to meet then adjourn.

Make sure to eat up all your greens.
Make sure to pray and see old friends.
Make sure to say thank-you and please.
Make sure to have paper and pens.




A teacher told me this sounds like modern day advice, as Polonius in Hamlet Act 1 Scene 3
