 Winter ride  (E)
A poem for a contest.
#2102614 by Chris Breva

The snort of horses fills the air
Snow falls gently to the ground
Winter scenes are everywhere
A blanket of white is all around.

The sleigh plows gently along the trail
Bundled tight we are entranced
In the brush screams a quail
Frightened since our horse so pranced.

Snowflakes touch upon our faces
We let them slowly melt away
I tug gently at the traces
Time now to return another way.

The scenes of winter that we so adore
Each as never seen before.
