A poem I wrote about my father abandoning me then wishing to return.
I used to sit by the window, eyes full of tears
awaiting your return, it's been six years
you didn't bother to call, to see if I was okay
you didn't even say goodbye when you left that day
now you wish to return unlike the day you never did
the day from your family you cowardly hid
now you wish to be father of the year
what made you think you could come back here
of course I love you but there is too much not right
if you return now, all we will do is fight
our relationship was completely slaughtered
the day you walked out on your little daughter
so please do yourself a favor and never return
you can't walk on a bridge you have already burned
