Enter Cassandra's tech support/friend/roommate
The cyborg and I landed on the rooftop of a building. It was the building that Tera and I stayed at. It seems that the built in GPS was also a nifty tool the droid had. After I was put down it took me a moment to get used to walking again. I had only flown once in my life and I was too young to remember it. I escorted my new, personal, cyborg to the doorway leading from the rooftop down a few flights to my apartment door.

I barely even knocked when the door flew open. An excited Tera stood before me. Tera was Japanese--American-mostly Japanese--and you could tell by looking at her. She looked much younger than she was thanks to her short height, petite figure, baby face, big eyes, and large forehead. Her fashion sense was always out there. A combination of Cybergoth and Visual Kei. Her eyes went from me to the cyborg and seemed to grow larger than they already were.

“This is her, I’m guessing? She looks so...real!” Tera finally stepped to the side to let us in. The inside of our apartment looked like a place where electronics come to mate and reproduce other electronics like rabbits. The floor was carpeted with cords and the living room walls were filled with monitors as well as computer docks. Our rooms were much less cluttered since we use the living room for everything but still held at least a TV, monitor, and desktop, and video game consoles. But at least there was room to walk.

“Did you set her up yet? Can we do it now?” I think Tera was more excited than I was about the cyborg. I think I was still in shock from flying over half the city. But I nodded my head before turning to my personal robot.

“By the way. This is Tera. She’s my roommate and best friend.” She looked at Tera for a moment then turned back towards me.

“Acknowledged. Would you like to proceed with the setup process?” She asked and I agreed to. “Would you like to choose a name to address me by?” I had briefly thought about one during the flight but really couldn’t decide.

“Yo,” Tera exclaimed. “how about naming her after that vocalist to the band we both like so much. Her real name, Amelia.” As usual Tera gained another point for good suggestions right off the bat.

“Okay,” I agreed as I turned towards the cyborg. “you shall be known as Amelia from this point on.” Amelia merely nodded.

“I would like to let you know that appearance customization is available at several locations specifically for my model. You may let me know when you want to visit one of these destinations or if you want to know anymore information about them.”

“Let’s go now!” Tera said. She looked like a kid in a candy store or like someone who just got their hands on the next new gadget. I guess in a way she did.

“Um, we kind of are still on the run.” I said. Going out with people on the lookout for you isn’t exactly the best idea. “It wasn’t even thirty minutes ago when we hightailed it out of the hot zone.”

“Which is exactly why we should change her looks. She already looks human enough. We change her hair and give her clothes then it will be a million times harder to find her. Literally.” She was completely right. Again.

“Tera, you’re on fire tonight.” I complimented.

“I know, right? Must be that caffeine I just had. Your little ordeal had my brain in overdrive. Oh, and don’t even sweat worrying about us being tracked through the store we go to. I already have a fake serial number for her. Did anyone see your face or am I gonna have to give you facial reconstructive surgery?” I shook my head.

“As if you could do that, anyway.” If I knew anything about my friend, it was that her hands weren’t good at much anything except using electronics. She didn’t have a steady hand for threading a needle, let alone surgery.

“But I do know people that could.” Tera turned towards Amelia. “We can’t have her go out like that. And she looks a bit tall for your clothes, let alone mine.” Tera thought for a moment before pulling out her phone and dialing a number quickly.

“Who are you calling?” I asked.

“Mileena.” I groaned. “Why her? She’s so...out there.”

“But, she has pretty much the same figure as Amelia and is the same height. She’s pretty much our best option without going out shopping for clothes ourselves.” I wanted to say that sounded like the better option but extra clothes wasn’t in my budget for this month and Tera had upgraded her gaming PC so she didn’t have money to spare either. I was just going to have to bite my tongue and put up with Mileena this time.
