A poem about the moon I made a long time ago.
Father sun walks down the clouds
For he has already tended your plants with his rays.
And made you warm and happy.
Without his warm rays it might get a little chilly
but do not worry!
Mother moon is here!
And as her sweet songs calm you,
She tucks you in to help you sleep.
She is the sweetest mother, she soothes you
And spreads her starry cloak across the sky,
So that the shadows will not scare you
She is the sweetest mother, and she speaks to you warmly
“Fear not, shadows cannot harm you,
They cannot hurt you,
Nightmares are only illusion,
Never fear my dear
For when you awaken from the nightmares
My stars will guide you, and Father sun's rays
Will warm your heart, all nightmares forgotten,
And all fear, gone.
And tomorrow father sun will come out again”
She says softly with a smile
Then kisses your head goodnight
And ascends to her heavenly home
But if you look closely at the moon
You can see her there, singing or smiling
With her beautiful cloak spread across the sky.......
