14 Lines

My mother is now serving God in Heaven
Mother's Day reminds me of my loss
I understand that bread needs some leaven
When it gets some carry a cross!

Mother's Day makes me cry
I would give my all to see her again
I do truly understand why
Yet Mother's Day brings me pain.

I will never again see my mother
I enjoyed the time we had
Now my mom becomes any other
Mother's Day feels so bad!

Look at it from my side
The pain of loss will never hide!
