A poem about my children in the ten minutes I had.
Sweet shrieks from the room behind me,
Doing things I told them not to,
Little I'll let them be,
The things these babies do.
Bouncing on their beds,
Swinging around each other,
Underwear on their heads,
Stopping them I will not bother.
Dumping toys out on the floor,
Scattering them about the room,
Putting stickers on the door,
Fun ensuing I assume.
Juice boxes and crackers all about,
Little shoes and socks around,
Imagination is in sprout,
Oh, what happened to their sound?
What is this at my feet?
Looks like now it's time to go,
Though their faces are so sweet,
Their patience for me today is low.
