A poem in the telling of a mischievous jackal
Jackal Thief of Sands

My kind is a bit smarter

You'll never know my tricks

You may ask how I do it

I simply use my wits

I travel across the plains

What you seek is now gone

You wonder who took it

It was me all along

My color is the sun

Purest gold of sands

Yet I'm also the moon

Darkness upon the lands

I am the jackal of sands

I can see you around me standing

You come from the lands

Has there been a misunderstanding?

You found me out

I was being fake

I gained a scar upon my snout

You're starting to make me shake

My old ways are done

My life is new

I follow the setting sun

That matches my gold hue

My life begins now

My name rings like a sign

You will remember me anyhow

I am the jackal, and I'm sacred for all time
