What everyone tells themselves after They leave
I got over you
Found something else to dream about
I cut my hair, changed my clothes
I stopped listening to that song I know you love
Because I got over you
I let that perfect picture of you fade
I moved on with my life
Stopped living for a someday with you

I got over you
That’s what I’m going to say
Every time I look at you
I don’t care, no I won’t let myself
I won’t sigh when you smile
I can’t laugh at your jokes
I got over you
Words I live by
Until one day, I pray, they’re true
