Each morning she dances down the street.

There is a woman of renown,
the Headphones Woman dancing down
my local street without a care;
so many people stop and stare.

She moves in beauty like the night;
she sports a two-step appetite
and goes about her steps with flair
like Nureyev or Fred Astaire.

Head titled back, she eyes the sky;
it seems she never goes awry
while dancing down the side away
from where the seniors play croquet.

Oh Headphones Woman, dancing on;
one day I saw her start at dawn
when I was backing out my drive;
in jogging suit, she comes alive

like she is caffeine overload;
away she two-steps down the road
yet having judgment to rely
on sidesteps when the cars come by.

To me the woman is so sweet;
like clockwork she comes down the street
each morning with those headphones worn:
another dancing star is born.
