A bad experience in the bathroom.
Halloween Horror?

It began innocently enough, just part of my morning routine. I finished my coffee and headed into the bathroom to shower.

I have soft vinyl covered bath seat in the tub to enable me to have a long luxuriousness shower which is what I did after dropping my clothes unceremoniously on the floor.

Once out of the shower I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around me and sat on a chair beside the tub.

This next part contains a lot of adjectives and yes, I know that's not good writing, but it's the only way I can describe what happened next. The horror that awaited me.

I grabbed another towel for my hair and accidentally moved the heap of clothes with my foot.

It lunged at me in full attack mode! It was a huge, hideous, hairy, black spider and it came at me from under the clothes.

I don't like spiders and this particular spider showed no signs of wanting to become friends.

Hugging the towel tightly around my body I stood, my heart was racing in my chest, my only thought to get away from the eight-legged beast. It turned and ran toward the tub and I turned and hobbled out the door.

The last I saw of the thing it was between the rug and the tub and I wasn't sticking around to find out where it hid.

Thoroughly traumatized I spent the rest of the day cautiously scrutinizing the bathroom before actually going through the door.

Where did it go? Would it jump out at me again?

I had so many questions. Was that creepy critter in the shower with me? Did it crawl out and hide under my clothes when I turned on the water?

It's not the first huge, hideous, hairy, black spider I've met in that bathroom. Usually, I see them in the sink which is scary enough, but I have the option of turning on the water and washing them down the drain. That's where they come from, you know. They come up the drain.

They're the fastest thing on eight feet and can race across a floor in 3 seconds unless they decide to attack.

I'm now permanently traumatized and the bathroom has become a place I don't want to be.

But hey, it's Halloween month and we all deserve one good scare, right? Although, I'd prefer watching a scary movie on TV.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
