I try to capture the essence of winter in an original way.
A short wintry poem

Leaves turned crisp and crackling brown
are crushed by boots upon the ground.
The trees, bereft, stand stark
as daylight fades to early dark.
The earth is kissed by cold;
life, it seems, is on hold.
