True story about how I lose half the stories I write.
She should have known better
As she stepped from the screen
But babies need attention now
Y'all know what I mean.

She should have known better
The story, all but done
Sat with blinking cursor mouse
Was clicked off by her son!

She should have known better
And built a time machine
To save her precious document
From the little toddler thing

She should have known better
But after fourteen years
She still makes these small mistakes
That bring her eyes to tears.

She should have known better
Than to give the kiddos slack
'Cause now the story is long gone
There was no turning back
