Story of Icarus paralleled with my inner feelings

Icarus

All my peers took flight

While I watched, grounded

No one taught me how to fly right

I only knew my ambitions was to soar above mountains

I could say I wasn't jealous

But I'd be lying

I could say in my own accomplishments, I relished

But that didn't stop the tears at night crying

Wingless watching wonders worried

I may never feel what Icarus felt

Yet we have a similar end to our stories

So I guess I do know what it's like when dreams melt
