I tried to capture the pain of a breakup in a school setting.
Do you still hear me in class?
Hear me when I laugh
Hear me when I talk
Or when I walk?
Do you even still recognise me?
It doesn’t seem like you do
It seems like you’ve forgotten me
While I haven’t forgotten you

You pass me in the halls
While I still stand tall
You can’t even acknowledge me

I can’t find hate for you
Even while you ignore me
I can’t find disgust for you
Even while puking and thinking about you
I can’t find love either
As it’s what drove us apart

I still do notice you
The way you laugh
The way you walk and talk
You may not see me anymore
And that's ok
Cause you don’t deserve to
