Where one of my stories came from.

A while ago we discussed getting inspiration. Today, I would like to share with you the inspiration for my story "Animalize". I had wanted to delve into that part of my mind that held monsters and mayhem. I decided to write a story about werewolves, but the exact story was slow at coming. I did up the character list. By the way, the inspiration for one of the character's names was the brother of Thor, Lukei. The character was a villain, but I loved the name.

I spent a couple of weeks trying to sort of the exact plot, but nothing came. Then it happened.

At the time my boyfriend and I had only lived in our current apartment for a short while. The couple next door had a nine month old baby. One night I was reading in the silence of our apartment. The silence was suddenly broken by the small cry of the baby next door. It was a plaintive cry but still soft and light. Out of that one sound came the story of a man who tries to save his werewolf companion by enlisting the help of an unsuspecting human. The baby's cry was still upper most in my mind the next day when I sat to write. The entire plot just poured out of me when I sat down in front of my computer.

There you have it, a real life story of where inspiration can come from.
