"AN ODE TO SCIENCE"

Oh, science! You unforgiving minx,
Exacting standards, no room for hijinks.
Sometimes I wish you’d fall for my act,
And not be so utterly obsessed with fact.

While the arts may be open to interpretation,
You’re more concerned with logic and causation.
Intellectually curious and discerning,
You’re never ever truly done learning.

The arts may give us music, movies, and games,
But you’re the one that advances our evolutionary aims.
While everyone else is playing around,
You discover what previously hadn’t been found.
