Even when the odds seem small, keep the right attitude always
"She is a high class girl " Joseph said to his friend nudging him in the middle of the crowded hall
"Does that mean you can't approach her?" asked his friend
"No, it means that I don't have what it takes to do it and besides, she's of a higher status than me" Joseph replied with a depressing voice
"Look, I will tell you what. The first thing to have in mind when approaching a girl is to believe that you have what it takes to row with the girl" adviced Justin. "Attitude is a very crucial thing here" he continued before turning his face towards the direction of the black American girl.
Few minutes later, he grabbed hold of Joesph s' hand and with a firm grip they both headed towards the direction of the girl but meanwhile, Joseph insist that he should let go of his hand by pulling himself backwards.
Justin was determined and together, they paced towards where the girl was standing.
Joseph was already feeling sick with his pale skin sweating like someone who had just take his bath. Leading the way, Joseph struggled to catch his breath but just before he arrived at her spot, he changed the direction of his movement.

It has been like this for the past two weeks. Joseph couldn't help but think about the girl often. In fact, he had even dreamed of kissing her the previous night when all of a sudden he woke up feeling disappointed. The one thing his friend had wanted pointing out to him had failed. He never believed himself to date such a girl because his subconscious mind kept telling that he had no guts to do it, couple with the fact that she was the hottest girl among her mates. All this made it look impossible for him and making him feel dejected.
"Good evening" said Joseph with a stammering voice. He couldn't believe himself standing up to speak to someone he had thought impossible
"Evening " replied while turning her face to know who had greeted her. Joseph heart had began to pound inside him.
"I saw you from afar and figured that I should come speak to you " he continued with face down. He had not yet establish any eye contact with her. Before he could continue any further, she walked out of him leaving him with no words to say.

Joseph couldn't get out of bed the following day. His mother had to go check on him to know if his was actually alright. His fear had become a reality. What he was trying to avoid by all means still came to pass. He hate being embarrassed but he was left with no other option but to move forward.

It was barely two weeks and Joseph had gone to class earlier that day. He had to complete his assignments at the stipulated time when all of a sudden he saw who he was not expecting to see with her. What actually got hold of his attention was that she was resting her head on his shoulders. For a moment, he thought " what had made the difference, how can this be ". He stood with a bemused look on his face before making his way out of the cold, silent hall.
"How did you end up with the girl"? Joseph asked his friend.
"With the right attitude, everything appeared more simple than I thought " replied Justin with a smile on his face.
He stood for while. He couldn't believe that his friend had done it and with a frowned face, he left the room.
Joseph knew that his friend was no better than him but yet he kept asking himself "how"
"Maybe he was right about what he said. With the right attitude, the impossible become possible" he thought, while reminiscing over the whole ordeal.
