I miss the days when the mere thought of leaving the comfort of the people who loved us most, even for a few hours, made us hug the leg of our "mommy" and scream and whimper.

my number erased in their mind but not their phone
plans canceled at the last second
sitting home alone
waiting by my phone
my hopes tossed higher than the moon
