Take my hand and walk with me down this path on Memory Lane...
Take my hand and walk with me
down this path on Memory Lane.
Remind me how it feels to have a heart
that beats soundly in my chest
instead of pulsing in the pieces you left behind.
Bring the smile back to my lips
the way it came so quick when light lit your eyes.
Fill my ears with laughter and return the warmth
to my soul. For all I feel without you
is a chill, soaking me down to my bones.
The holes you left me with
pierce through every last memory,
and you bleed from me until we're a puddle at my feet.
The veil that separates us is thinning
and I can almost feel you in the space you used to be.
I can nearly feel your fingers wrapped up in mine,
almost see your face and that grin I loved for so long.
Take my hand and walk with me.
I'm having trouble in this cold world all alone.
