A poem about American politics pre-midterm elections.
The beliefs of a growing segment
Of the current population
Have given birth to an apolitical set of values
For this uniquely pro-Trump society...

Meanwhile, advantageous conservatives
Have constructed an agenda
To remedy many of our economic woes.

Yet, this commander-in-chief has afforded
The inexplicable outrage
Of a vast majority of Americans
Through his divisive vitriol,
Which may be seen as racist, sexist, exclusionary,
And unethical by the naked eye.

But despite the progress the President
Has made in keeping certain critical promises,
An underlying concern exists
In our divided nation...

We must ensure the freedoms and liberties
Of this prosperous nation
Are available to just and sensible souls,
Whose ideas exhibit the ethics and morals
Of America’s purpose and promise.

And that forthright Americans judge
Our President based on his convictions,
Not his hateful rhetoric
Meant to alienate the far left
From his intolerably far right political agenda.
