A poem about the loss of a loved one
In Memory

No more sounds of laughter,
No more beaming smiles
No more tears, no more pain

For those of us left behind
Memories of someone who touched our hearts
A person cherished and loved, by all they encountered
We question, "why did they have to go?"
The tears we cry are testament, to the joy they gave us

Even though our feelings now are lost and lonely
We are now safe in the knowledge, that a new star shines tonight
A new light in the heavens, to guide us
Because wherever we are,
Whatever we will do,
They will always be in our thoughts and dreams

The memory of their smile, will bring us peace
The memory of their laughter, will bring us cheer
For we know, they are here with us, always.
