She's confused about the world she in until a hero tries to show her a new side of things.
Chapter 1
The dark night was chilly and the street were as dead as Jacob Marley. Just the way my old man adored.
I was quick as to avoid any cars that rushed by and anybody walked behind or in front of me. I needed to get back before the Bat found me and I couldn't get caught now. Not when I was so close to getting out of Gotham. I was ready to leave any memories of my family behind me.
I had given up on them.
Ma and Pa would never accept me for who I was now.
The way I looked would make anyone scream and run. I can't believe I would do something so stupid as to fall for a guy like Adam Tanning.
I was like every other girl in school.
Sirens went off in the distance. I started running because when sirens are heard, that meant trouble.
I was running as fast as I could, but my heart was racing and I couldn't keep my pace.
The cops were right behind me now. Then I felt myself go airborne for a quick minute, then hot the ground harder than I ever had in my life.
I saw some really bright lights before I blacked out.
Then nothing but stillness.
Nothing but peaceful stillness.
I felt relaxed, calm.
