A rough idea that started brewing. Looking for feedback. Should I continue with this?
Her skin was carved with scars that someone else earned. She looked down at her body, still damp from the shower, in wonder. Her whole life was a mystery. She was a normal person in that she had a family, a job, friends. All of the things that made a person “normal”...except for this one not-so-little thing.

She got dressed and went to her job as a secretary at the Harrison Police Department. It was a boring day that dragged on endlessly. Nothing exciting ever happened in this small town. After work, she stopped and got a burger on her way home. While waiting, she felt the now all too familiar stinging. This time, on her thigh. Rubbing the sensation away, she slowly ate her dinner until it faded away.

When she got home she went to the bathroom and got undressed not looking at the angry red scar on her inner thigh she knew would be there. She decided to take a bath and try to forget. While sitting in the hot water the stinging came again. Looking at her forearm she watched as slowly the angry scars came. After a few moments, she became aware of what looked like the word HELP form. This was new. Apprehensively, she stared at her arm to see if anything else appeared. Nothing.
