Not everyone's wired the same way
Wired

Something's wrong within the wiring,
somewhere there's a short
Some pistons just aren't firing
... some far more than than they ought

to fire through the fences,
the fallows of the heart
Lined, barbed wire trenches,
the shallows depth imparts

Seeking out some salvage,
beyond a shrouded seal
Bearing too much baggage,
imagined... all too real

Wearing at the edges,
the stitches come undone
Seams splitting, slowly sledging,
straps straining with the sum

The sum of processed fears,
unfounded, overthought,
with rain disquising tears
over things we never bought

Midst clunky clockwork questions,
mainsprings over wound
Mechanisms of depression,
with the keys lost, never found

As lock picks trick the tumblers,
safe spaces we ignore
Running down the numbers,
till the numbers run no more.

as zeroes and ones collapse,
in binary we fall
Alone we stand as time is lapsed
and life stalls to a crawl

Souls silicon, the mind cries,
soldered heartbeats welded down
We look for where truth lies
in doubts our spirits drown

When questions asked seem tiring,
and truths are what are sought
... hanging from the wiring
... with the answers slipping short
