A poem that speaks into what truly is true and who defines it.
Truth?
What's the truth?
What defines it?
Who acknowledges it?

I think I know the truth
To what and to whom it's told
The truth is a word
A word said so lightly
Heavy to comprehend
But comes out in the end

For the light defines the truth
Shed on nations to grow
Nations are defined by people
people are defined by their leaders
Their leaders are not imposed by gods
Or by the love for themselves

And their love may from laws
And their laws may from God
And their thoughts may from Him
And to think their laws is love
And that their law is just for all
Or their strength is preserved for all

Loyalty still fails royalty
Seeking wounds for Kings that fell
As the truth bears no grudge in heart
As the truth bears no one in mind
As the truth bears no man in thoughts
Liberty holds the scale to truth.
