SEASONS OF LIFE

In the springtime of my life,
that twenty years or so,
things seemed to last forever,
time dragged out real slow.

Then life changed into summer,
three decades were sublime,
then at the age of seventy,
something happened to time.

Now leaves are falling quickly,
autumn is almost gone,
life is changing like seasons
and winter’s coming on.
