I planned to enter this contest, but it closed due to lack of interest. I'll enter it here
Knowledge is power when I can look up words to understand their meanings; this includes slang, you know, that I hear a lot of out on the streets, not having a clue to what they mean, however, when I look them up in a dictionary, I will have an understanding of their true meaning.

Knowledge is power when I can get a book or a tape to learn another language, and learn what words mean, and how to pronounce them.

I would know that my knowledge is power when I would know what it takes to be an inventor. What I would love to do is to be able to invent a bomb that, when it would go off, it would put out a fragrance so nice, that everyone could not help but get along with each other. I would also invent a bomb called the detonator diffuser; this bomb, I was thinking could go out and cut, like a scissors, and snip off the part where the tip of the bomb was. My mind thought that there is good and bad in everything, so if this was the case, there would be good chemicals that would outweigh the bad chemicals. Not a bad idea! This would be a way of making peace in the world; they would be shaking hands, instead of using their hands as weapons.

Knowledge is power when people listen to what I have to say, instead of treating me like I'm invisible, I'm not really there. They tend to ignore anything that I have to say, which I feel is rather rude as well as being disrespectful.

Knowledge is power when I'm able to diffuse an argument before it begins to escalate. This would end up as a big victory because I would feel as though I've nipped it in the bud, and, as a result, it ended up in a win-win situation.

Knowledge is power when I would be able to agree not to disagree, instead of easily getting mad whenever things don't go the way I would like it to.

Knowledge is power when I'm able to get someone's attention rather than have to shout in order to get that attention, life would be so much better.
