A desk opines on the concept of belief.
In Kindergarten One-O-One
it is the goal to have some fun
for little children starting school;
and as a desk I think it cool.

(Of course I promote study too,
as much as little kids can do.
But with this Santa season here,
the learning curve can disappear.)

When I heard, those who don’t believe,
shall not receive
, I had to grieve.
I don’t think kids with hopes of get
should be extorted with a threat.

For then they grow in life’s domain
a reservoir of fear and pain.
They wield belief as if a wand
while unaware where thought has gone.

So as a desk I must confess
that kids would be a lot more blessed
if bony belief would go hide
and let robust reason abide.
