An entry for the Writer's Cramp
It was too early for
The daffodils to bloom
Winter was not over yet
The skies still held their gloom

However, through the snow
Peeking past powdered ice
Bright petals above snowflakes
Showing spring's early slice

A girl searching for home
Alone in the woods, lost
Glimpses the yellow flower
Hope found amidst the frost
