The pandemic has turned life upside down.
Social distancing, going out only
when necessary, staying home
mostly, looking towards the
dawn, the crimson sun
kindling the hope of
a brand new day.

Narrow is life now,
sitting with folded arms,
murmuring fears that hang
heavy, as Corona virus spreads
its unwanted microscopic kingdom
of woe.  There exists now a flourish
of exploding desire, to flee, to break
the bonds imposed by the sinister
parasite serving the world with
cruel, self-serving misery.
We wait, as butterflies
battle in riot in our
chests, and we
tend inside,
waiting.
