A vague sense that something isn't right
You see them walk past, oblivious, completely mechanical
They recite phrases and smile, emotions completely aligned
Everything so perfectly acted, everything so perfectly timed
But you look through their masks, you can see them imprisoned
And you swear you see through them, you know something must clear
But you too are trapped in this cycle, and your thoughts are distorted
So you head to the alley, you find a moment of freedom
And still something is off.
Something is happening.
But there's nothing to fear.
