Giving thanks for seeing another July 4
I woke up this morning as I have for 50+ July 4ths and asked myself, "What's different today?"

Nothing -- at least not distinguishable -- for me. As always, I have much to celebrate, and for that, I am always thankful.

No unwanted phone calls -- children, grandchildren, great-grands, other family members, and friends are all top-side and doing as well as can be expected. Thankful

My body still functioning -- Wok up on time (around 5ish), made it to the bathroom, and fumbled around until I landed here on the computer, in my right mind, and brain still working. Thankful

Shelter and other necessities -- Have a roof over my head, water, and other utilities working, food in the house, feeling safe, and blessed. Thankful

The weather -- Absolutely my cup of tea, hot, skies clear, sun shining bright, birds singing, the wind's gently blowing, and even if it is not, the world seems at peace. Thankful

Trials and tribulations -- Yes, I have few, and at times they feel overwhelming, but no matter when they come, with the help of God, family, and friends, I seem to get through them. Thankful.

So thankful to be alive and truly living in this world that God has made and witnessing the fulfillment of His word. Thankful

It is another day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from which cometh my help.

Peace and blessings always!
