Alone

Diamonds abound in the
Night time sky.
And even though at times,
Obscure clouds may hide them
From view, they’re there still.

When the night time delivers them
To the day light hours
They’re still present.
Even though they recede from sight,
They give us one of the wonders of Earth.

Through all the world’s twisting,
And the different shapes
The constellations make
I sit beneath them
Knowing I am individual – Alone.
