An Elegy lamenting on the death of a dear one. Transitioning death into a new journey.
THRENODY
by, Akanksha Subba.

It is for the weariness of the path
One takes as living mortals,
The wind that blows swiftly
And the sky that turns gloomy.

It shall not be a day with the eyes sore
But a day one shall rise high,
The sky that welcomes a heart
With the showers of the God above.

For the sorrows caused to the beloved
Will never be a part one can remember.
The Heaven's doorman awaits
For the mortal that's beloved.

I shall not forget a day, the smile of the beloved,
I shall sing of you as you watch over
For I will be a companion when my leaves get dried
And we shall be together , Forever.
