Going through a path with a significant other.
Filling in the spaces when you're not here is hard
I feel like every feeling is so familiar,
I couldn't say I've never been here before
we swayed in and out of a powerful love
one we could throw an anchor in and stay a while
I wouldn't have guessed it would be so toxic
foot in mouth, we knew all along
to be a part of a broken family and wanting to belong to something good
maybe we both fell victim to the gaps in our self soothing character and let the ink of our past stain this love too
To fill each others days with this doubt
Is it our lovely intention?
