A teenage crush, fueled by hormones, in the 1950's.
The Soda Fountain

He knows her fav, chocolate sodas.
Two scoops, syrup, seltzer, whipped cream.
Topped with two cherries and his love.
She doesn’t know she lives in his dreams.

Every afternoon, after school, he feels a thrill.
Talking to friends, blonde hair, soft blue eyes
He listens to her voice caressing his ears,
Watches her short skirt ride up tan thighs.

Mr. Owner yells, “Yeh, sonny, work calls!”
Catching his red face in the mirrored wall,
What kind of fool does she think he is?
Dropping a box, he stumbles, starts to fall.

“Are you alright, Tommy?” The angel asks.
She knows his name, there is a God.
Sweet honey lips, a woman’s breasts.
He has such skinny legs, no dreamboat bod.

Their eyes meet over her perfect drink.
“You always know just what I need!”
That purr from her lovely pearl mouth.
Women can make a man’s heart bleed.
