Poem based off Haggai 1:1-11
You make plenty of money, but can’t seem to make ends meet.
You can’t seem to make enough money to get enough food to eat.
Consider your ways.

If there is plenty to eat, but you never seem to be satisfied;
You just keep wanting more and more and are filled with fleshly pride.
Consider your ways.

You have clothes but not enough to keep you warm.
Your life seems like an uphill battle or a never ending storm.
Consider your ways.

You fill up your house with goods while the house itself is in decay.
You take out loans, max out credit cards, and run up debt you struggle to repay.
Consider your ways.

Your children are taken away and you are removed from your dwelling.
Your patience is thin, your nerves frayed, and your resources repelling.
Consider your ways.

Do you lack water or any other necessary thing?
Have you hit rock bottom, or are you left with nothing?
Consider your ways.

How can God bless you if you yourself are not a blessing?
You must help others too or your life will be depressing.
It is wise thing to do to consider your ways.
