A joke goes wrong. An April Fools' Day poem based on a Bee Gees prompt.



I started a joke
To make fun of Sue
That girl never spoke
It was easy to do

My friends all joined in
I thought it was fun
Such delightful sin
To watch Sue have to run

The joke turned to chase
And next came the punch
Hit right in the face
At the end of school lunch

I looked up at Joe
He said "Let Sue be"
I guess now I know
that the joke is on me.
